ASPIRE staff and volunteers help students and their families by:

• Exploring available education and training options beyond high school
• Developing a post-high school plan with the student
• Assisting students with their essays and applications
• Keeping students on track to meet deadlines
• Giving advice about all postsecondary options
• Providing direction to scholarship and financial aid resources

 

Become an Aspire Student – Open to all High School Parents

All TLHS students get semester meetings with Mrs. FitzHenry to provide general guidance on a successful path through high school and to be well prepared for “life after Trinity.” However, if your child is a part of the ASPIRE program, s/he can get access to a mentor who can provide additional guidance, friendly reminders and encouragement, personalized help in applying for colleges and searching for scholarships, and more. The only way your child can get this mentor is through signing up for ASPIRE (with the form…fillable and sent from parent’s email OR printed out, signed, and handed to Mrs. FitzHenry).

In addition, WE NEED YOU to be a mentor for our students. As an ASPIRE mentor, you will play a unique role in the life of a student as you help guide and assist them in pursuing education and training beyond high school. Mentoring students foster their interest in education/training beyond high school, improves classroom attendance, increases academic performance, and gives students hope for their future. Successful mentors have an interest in working with youth, are reliable and consistent, follow programs policies and procedures, and bring enthusiasm to the role. The schedule is variable–you meet with students (right now, only via online platforms) when it is convenient for both of you.
